This policy explains what CookieBoe collects when you use cookieboe.com and related services, and how we use that information.
What we collect
- Scan requests. When you scan a site, we process the URL you submit and store scan results (cookies, trackers, storage, and a compliance score) so we can show you a report.
- Account email. If you sign in with a magic link, we store your email address and session data to keep you logged in.
- Billing. Paid plans are handled by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers; card details are processed by Stripe, not CookieBoe.
- Banner configuration. If you create a consent notice, we store the message, style, and related settings you provide.
- Usage analytics. In production we may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Analytics identifiers are not required for the product to work.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Run scans and show reports
- Authenticate accounts and send sign-in emails
- Provide and bill for paid features
- Host banner scripts you embed
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse (rate limits)
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data
- We do not use scanned third-party cookies for advertising
- We do not claim that a scan score equals legal compliance or advice
Retention
Scan reports and account data are kept while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. You can contact us to request deletion of your account data.
